Update from the Library Director

All programs cancelled -- Library remains open

I want to keep you informed of what your Library is doing in response to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. Based on the recommendation to encourage social distancing from the State of Michigan and the Centers for Disease Control we are cancelling all Library programs for the next 30 days, effective immediately. As a widely used community gathering space we feel this was the appropriate decision to make.

All Library Branches Remain Open

All three branches of the Grosse Pointe Public Library will remain open with regular operating hours. We will continue to follow best hygiene practices guidelines for cleaning and disinfection to keep our buildings clean.

Books and Digital Resources

Many digital resources are available to all patrons from their homes for free. We have e-books, movies and music. Educational databases are available for both children and adults. And we have digital subscriptions to newspapers and magazines

Looking Forward

The GPPL will continue to evaluate its response to COVID-19 with the guidance of health officials. You can stay up-to-date on any changes to library services through our website. You can also follow the Library on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
