Mobile HotSpots

• Patrons must be 18 years of age or older to check out a HotSpot.
• Patron must present a valid Grosse Pointe Library card in their name at time of check out.
• Patron must be a Grosse Pointe resident, reside within the Grosse Public School District in Harper Woods or have purchased a non-resident Grosse Pointe Library card.
• Patrons must be in good standing with the library, with a current address on file and no more than $5.00 in fines.
• Mobile HotSpots may only be checked out from and returned to the Circulation Desk at any Branch of the Grosse Pointe Public Library. HotSpots may not be returned to a book drop.
• Mobile HotSpots may be checked out for 14 days with no renewals.
• The overdue fine is $1.00 per day until returned.
• Overdue Mobile HotSpots will be deactivated within 24 hours after due date unless arrangements are made with the library.
• The Mobile HotSpot can provide Wi‐Fi Internet access for up to 6 devices.

• Patrons will be charged $25 for Mobile HotSpots returned to a book drop (indoor or outdoor)
• The overdue fine is $1.00 per day until returned.
• The Mobile HotSpot should be kept in a temperature controlled environment; DO NOT leave it in your car.
• The patron is responsible for costs associated with loss or damage of the Mobile HotSpot and/or peripherals.

The Wireless Network Name (SSID) and password can be found on the HotSpot device. To connect your device to the Mobile HotSpot’s WiFi network:

• Turn on the Mobile HotSpot.
• On your Wi‐Fi enabled device search for available Wi‐Fi Networks and select the Network Name (SSID) for your Mobile HotSpot.
• Enter the network password.
