Renovations Begin at Central
Central Annex Opens June 7
The Central Branch closed Sunday, May 22 to begin improvements in response to community feedback received in 2019.
The renovations include:
- Installing a fire suppression system and other life safety features
- Installing an elevator
- Installing ADA compliant restrooms
- Expanding the youth area
- Adding a drive-through window
- Adding a new program room
- A new roof
A Central Branch annex is anticipated to open the week of June 6 at 120 Kercheval to provide service to patrons. Services provided at the Central Annex include:
- Browse new books and DVDs (adult, youth and teen)
- Pick-up and place holds
- Get assistance from library staff
- Print and copy
- Read newspapers and magazines
- Check out tools
The Annex hours are Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
You can also visit the Ewald Branch, in the Park. It's open every day.
