Update From The Director
Latest News
As you know the Library's internet has been down since Monday, November 25.
We identified some unusual activity on our systems consistent with an attempted cyber-attack. While we believe the attack was thwarted, out of an abundance of caution, we took our systems offline while we work with forensic experts to scan for malicious activity and ensure our systems are secure.
At this time, we are operating manually as we work to get our systems back online. We still don't have an estimated time when our systems will be restored. Our top priority is to be able to provide you with the services you expect from your Library.
You can still come into the library and checkout books and other library materials. You can also access Libby, hoopla, kanopy and all our other online databases on your own devices and enjoy all the audiobooks, e-books, movies, TV shows etc.
All three branches are open our regular hours -- Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 - 5 p.m. All of our programs are on schedule as well.
To reach the Library by phone, please call 313-343-2074 and choose 1 for the Central Branch and 1 for Circulation to reach a person. We're still experiencing issues with our phones at Ewald and Woods.
I apologize for this disruption in our service and appreciate your patience and understanding. I’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
